From the heart of India comes yet another shocking case of a 14-year-old girl who was raped by her stepfather for over five months in a Madhya Pradesh village in Dewas district which eventually came to light when she was found to be pregnant.
Police said that the victim complained of uneasiness and vomiting on August 1 after which she was taken to a government hospital. The doctors were mortified to discover that she was, in fact, pregnant.
They then probed her further after which the minor narrated her ordeal and was terrified as she had been previously threatened not to disclose her traumatic experience. The police were then informed who sprung into action and arrested the stepfather.
“The victim said that her stepfather raped her for over five months and threatened to kill her if she disclosed her ordeal,” said Bishwadeep Singh Parihar, Khategaon Police Station incharge. “She is now three months pregnant,” he added.
The victim also informed the police that when she narrated her ordeals of repeated assault to her mother, it fell on deaf ears.
The accused, identified as Vijay Bairagi, has been arrested under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code and relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO).

The minor girl is currently being treated at a district hospital in Khategaon. The district administration shall further decide where she will be sent after she is discharged from the hospital.
Previously in Madhya Pradesh, on July 20, a 4-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a minor boy who happens to be the nephew of a famed Congress leader. The girl was allegedly raped by the 15-year-old boy in a room in Uttar Pradesh.
