At a time when RSS, VHP and Shiv Sena gathered today in Ayodhya demanding the early construction of Ram Temple at the disputed land. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched an attack against Congress party and blamed the grand old party for delaying the Ram Temple issue.
Addressing at poll-bound state Rajasthan’s Alwar, Prime Minister alleged that the Congress Party has created an atmosphere of fear for the judiciary and told the top court to delay the Ayodhya hearing ahead of 2019 Lok Sabha General elections.
He also accused Congress party of making all possible efforts to impeach the Chief Justice of India. How can such things be accepted? Modi asked. Adding on he said that in what was seen as a reference to the opposition bid to start impeachment proceedings against former Chief Justice Dipak Misra earlier this year.
Continuing his attack at Congress party he accused the party disrespecting the Parliament of India by politicising the case.
“They give Rajya Sabha tickets to prominent Supreme Court advocates, who attend proceedings in the court all day and then sit in the Rajya Sabha. We don’t have a majority in that House, so they are using it to their advantage. Those Congress members in the Rajya Sabha have told to Supreme Court to not restart the case till 2019 because of the impending elections,” Modi added.
It is to be noted that the Ayodhya title suit is pending in the Supreme Court, and in January, the court is expected to decide when it wants to hear the case.
Modi also said that the Congress had created hurdles for the OBC Commission and Dalits faced their biggest atrocities under the Congress rule. “Congress can never do anything good for Rajasthan,” the PM said.
The 200-member Rajasthan Assembly elections scheduled to go to polls on December 7. The counting of votes will take place on December 11.
