News agency ANI claimed that sources had confirmed 43 Chinese soldiers have been killed or seriously injured because of intercepts,

For more than six weeks, Indian and Chinese soldiers have been engaged in a stand-off along the Line of Actual Control. They have been facing each other at the Galwan River and at the Pangong Tso glacial lake.

The reason for the tension in the Ladakh Valley was China’s stiff opposition to India laying a key road in the Finger area around the Pangong Tso Lake. China was also laying a road in the Finger area which is not acceptable to India.
