Yo Yo Honey Singh’s estranged wife, Shalini Talwar has levelled some serious allegations against him. A few days ago, she even filed a case of domestic violence against him at Tis Hazari Court in Delhi and sought Rs.10 crore in compensation. As the rapper got embroiled in a controversy, he issued an official statement on his social media handles reacting to these accusations on Saturday (Aug 7)
The rapper broke his silence on all the accusations that have been levelled up on him by his estranged wife, Shalini Talwar. In his statement he mentions that he is responding to the allegations now because his family – his parents and sister – has also been targeted.
He issued his official statement on his Instagram handle. It read, “I am deeply pained and distressed by the false and malicious allegations levied against we and my family by any companion/wife of 20 years, Mrs. Shalini Talwar. The allegations are severely odious. I have never issued a public statement or press note in the past despite being subjected to harsh criticism for my lyrics, speculation on my health, & negative media coverage in general. However, I see no merit in maintaining a studied silence this time because some of the allegations have been directed at my family — my old parents and younger sister — who have stood by me during some very difficult and trying times and comprise my world. The allegations are cynical and defaming in nature.”
