India-China Face Off: Jawans ready to deal with any situation at LAC, says Army chief

The border dispute between India and China is taking a turn for the worse. Two and a half months after the brutal Galwan Valley clash, India and China are facing off once again. Army Chief General M M Naravane is on a two-day visit to Ladakh. He said that precautionary deployment had been made in view of the tense situation between India and China along the Line of Actual Control (LAC).

Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane told news agency ANI, “The situation along LAC is slightly tense. Keeping in view of the situation, we have taken precautionary deployment for our own safety and security, so that our security and integrity remain safeguarded.”

The general even paid a visit to the forward area in the Chushul sector. The region is in the news as the Army has captured some strategic vacant heights here last weekend. This gave the troops a commanding view of the region. They can not only keep an eye on the Chinese army but also prevent any ingression.

The general further added that he paid a visit to different places after reaching Leh and found the morale of soldiers quite high. They are ready to deal with any situation and make the nation proud.

Recently an altercation took place after Chinese troops intruded into the southern bank of Pangong Tso. Soon senior officials from both sides met to deescalate the situation. But Military talks between India and China over the fresh incursion attempts by the Chinese People Liberation Army (PLA) within Indian territories ended “inconclusive” for the fourth consecutive day on Thursday.
