Indian Idol 11: Sunny Hindustani from Bathinda lifts the trophy

Popular television show Indian Idol has been known to give a platform to all the aspiring singers. This year too the ace panel of judges, Neha Kakkar, Vishal Dadlani, and Himesh Reshammiya have done the same. The grand finale of the show ended with a bang and the trophy was bagged by none other than Sunny Hindustani of Punjab.

Sunny performed on a medley of songs ‘Bhar Do Jholi Meri”, ‘Halka Halka’ and few more. After Sunny’s performance, Ayushmann Khurrana who was promoting his film Shubh Mangal Savdhaan couldn’t believe the singing skills of the talented singer. Sunny Hindustani won the coveted Indian Idol trophy. The Bhatinda boy also took home prize money of Rs 25 lakh, a car and a singing contract with T-Series. Rohit Raut from Latur was the runner up and won a cash prie of 5 lakhs. Ankona Mukherjee was the second runner up and won the cash prize of Rs 5 Lakhs. The fourth and fifth runner ups were Ridham Kalyan and Adriz Ghosh. They were given a cash prize of Rs 3 lakhs each.

Every finalist also received Rs 1 lakh cheque from Lotus Herbals and gift hampers from the sponsors.
