Uttar Pradesh: Jyoti Randhawa, International golfer arrested on poaching charges Today. The global golfer Randhawa represented India on several events.

Jyoti Randhawa, an Indian golfer has been arrested by Uttar Pradesh Forest Department for poaching charges on Wednesday.  According to reports, they have recovered 22 rifles from Randhawa.

The Jyoti Randhawa was arrested by UP forest authorities, along with Mahesh Virajdar in Motipur Range of Katarniaghat. He is being investigated by the DFO Katarniaghat and his team.

There are several items including binoculars, wild boar and a gun registered on his name have been taken from the golfer.

The reports also claimed that the international golfer has killed a jungle fowl on Tuesday. A vehicle has also been seized by the forest department.

It is to be noted that Randhawa has represented Indian in multiple international golf events and was also ranked under top 100 on several occasions between the year 2004 and 2009.

Apart from being a top golfer, Randhawa is also the ex-husband of Bollywood actress Citrangadha Singh. Unfortunately, the couple parted their ways in 2014.
