Friends: Lisa Kudrow promises an exciting reunion, says, ‘it’ll be really fun’

The highly anticipated Friends reunion on HBO Max has been pushed to Thanksgiving due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, Lisa Kudrow who played the role of Phoebe Buffay in the American sitcom shared her excitement toward’s the show’s reunion.

Kudrow told ET’s Nischelle Turner on the upcoming reunion special, she stated, “I can’t wait for it to happen, the six of us haven’t been in a room together in front of people in 25 years and only once a few years ago, privately for dinner. …I can only imagine. It’s gonna be fun. I mean, it’ll be really fun.”

The 56-year-old actress also said that it was when Friends’ began streaming on Netflix that the cast began to consider the reunion of the show. “To be honest, I think when it moved to Netflix and it did so well on Netflix, that’s why Mart and David are so great. [Friends co-creators] Marta Kauffman and David Crane, they knew what they were doing.”

Earlier this year, the six members (Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer) announced their reunion on their respective Instagram handle with a picture of the iconic photo from their 1985 Rolling Stone cover. They will be shooting for a special on the streaming platform HBO Max. It is to be said that the reunion special is likely to film by the end of the summer.
