Got star Sophie Turner and her beau Joe Jonas had left their fans shocked when they suddenly tied the knot in Las Vegas after attending the Billboard awards. But not many know that the much in love couple had broken up before the Vegas wedding. This shocking news was shared by Sophie during an interview with The Sunday Times.
Sophie revealed the reason for their split was not some fight but they both had developed cold feet.
The GoT actress Sophie Turner said, “It was the worst day of our lives. For a second we both had cold feet, then 24 hours later we were both, like, ‘Never mind.‘”
The couple, who announced their engagement in October 2017, surprised everyone with a quickie wedding in the Sin City. They said their “I Dos” in front of family and friends at the Little White Chapel. The entire ceremony was live-streamed across multiple Instagram accounts all thanks to Diplo.
Turner has always been open about her battle with depression in the past and how growing up in front of the camera has affected her mental health. The 23-year-old “Game of Thrones” actress also revealed that her husband has been her constant support and helped her when she was going through a “phase of being very mentally unwell.”
She added, “He was, like, ‘I can’t be with you until you love yourself, I can’t see you love me more than you love yourself. I think he kind of saved my life, in a way. I love myself now or more than I used to now.”
The newlywed Mr. and Mrs. Jonas are expected to marry in the presence of their family and friends this summer.
