The ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana’ actor Sunny Deol has joined hands with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The actor joined in the presence of Union Ministers Piyush Goyal and Nirmala Sitharaman. He seems to make a promise of standing beside the party which his father stood by always.
The actor in his speech said, “The way my father (film star Dharmendra) was attached with Atal ji, today I have come to join Modi ji.” He also adds, “Whatever I can do for this family (BJP), I will do it….I won’t talk, I will show you through my work.” The actor also firmly believes that Shri Narendra Modi should be the elected the next Prime Minister for the next five years as well.
Nirmala Sitharaman says that she is glad to bring in the ‘fire-brand actor’.
Sunny Deol’s father Dharmendra was a member of the 14th Lok Sabha elections. He had been contesting from Bikaner back then. Deol’s step-mother Hema Malini is an MP. She is contesting seats from Mathura.
