The Main Hoon Na actress Sushmita Sen was last seen in Akshay Khanna-Anil Kapoor-starrer No Problem.
According to a report in DNA, Sushmita Sen had said in an earlier interview that she had started looking at scripts and was waiting for the right one. The same report suggests that she has finally liked a script, where she will play the part of a tough cop.
The daily quoted a source saying, “Sushmita was approached for a movie that plays out in a small town in which her character is the protagonist. It’s a crime-based drama set in Madhya Pradesh wherein she plays a tough cop.”
Sushmita was offered the project earlier this year, but she said yes only after suggesting some changes in the script.
“Meanwhile, the film has changed hands — there’s a new director who will be on board. Sushmita, too, gave her inputs after she heard the narration. The makers decided to alter the script and make the necessary changes, post which, she gave a go ahead. The modalities are currently being worked out. Once that is done, she will sign on the dotted line,” the daily’s source added.
The movie will go on floors later this year. An official announcement is likely to be made in the next month.
