With the country’s movement jammed for hours and common people of the country taking to the streets, protesting against the rise in fuel prices, Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Tejashwi Yadav made a mocking comment at his old friend’s — Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar — silence.
The former deputy chief minister of the state took to twitter on Monday and questioned Kumar for being mum on the rising fuel prices in the country, which has crossed Rs 85/litre. He wrote, “Why is the Bihar Chief Minister silent? Why is he not speaking? When will he speak when the seats will decrease? Like the way he spoke on demonetisation after one-and-half-years! Uncle, if you are a socialist, then speak or else if you have become a capitalist then you can enjoy ice-cream also along with curd. People will take care of everything.”
The context might seem a little different here, but the mocking attack was made as the duo — Yadav and Kumar — do not share good relations with each other after their grand-alliance broke in 2017. After the separation, Kumar took the support of BJP to form the government in Bihar.
Akhilesh Yadav attacks Yogi Adityanath:
On a similar tone, like Tejashwi Yadav, former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav attacked ruling chief minister Yogi Adityanath. Akhilesh claimed that the BJP has become an arrogant party and would not deter to say that inflation will bring development in the state.
Reacting to the comment of Adityanath, Akhilesh said, “The BJP government is so proud of themselves that even today when the Opposition has called for a ‘bandh’ they have increased fuel price in some places. Government can even say that inflation will bring development.”
Earlier in the day, Adityanath had commented on the Bharat Bandh called by the united opposition and had said, “Frustrated opposition doesn’t have any strategy and leadership. What else can be expected from them? I hope God gives them sense so they can differentiate between positive and negative otherwise in future they will even lose their position as Opposition.”
With comments like these being made in the public forum by the political representatives when the problems of rising petrol prices are tearing away comman men’s pockets, waves are most likely to turn their side in 2019. Maybe the arrogance factor vs reality check issue would bring a political turmoil. It is for the time to tell and we all are eagerly waiting.
