Uttar Pradesh: Two Al Qaeda Terrorists Held In Lucknow

The Uttar Pradesh Anti Terrorist Squad has caught two terrorists linked to Al Qaeda. The terrorist was arrested by the ATS from Kakori on the outskirts of Lucknow. Reportedly the terrorists were planning to execute serial blasts in Lucknow and other populated cities. They were planning to plant bombs in crowded areas and markets in the state.

As reported by sources to Times Now, The terrorists were hiding in a house in Kakori’s Dubagga area. Acting on the intelligence input, a team led by IG ATS, GK Goswami closed in on their location. The terrorists from a house that belongs to one Shahid. So far, two pressure-cooker bombs, a detonator, and 6 to 7 kilograms of explosives have been recovered from the house.

Suspicious material being brought out of a house in Kakori’s Dubagga area where terror suspects are present. Lucknow ATS is carrying out the operation, commandos present at the spot. 2 suspected persons are detained by ATS. They were in touch with people across the border.

The nearby houses have been evacuated and a bomb disposal squad has been called in to search the entire area for explosives.
