WhatsApp dark mode on Android and iOS to be launched in 2019

WhatsApp is likely to launch Dark Mode for Android and iOS in earlier 2019. The dark mode in WhatsApp will make its user more comfortable and save battery.

WhatsApp is likely to launch Dark Mode for Android and iOS in earlier 2019. There were rumours stating that the Facebook-owned company, WhatsApp has been working on a mode and expected to launch it at the end of this month or early 2019. Last week, WhatsApp had launched TV campaigns to tackle fake news.

The mode will let users save their eyes from glare when they are busy chatting on WhatsApp late in the night but will also probably help to save battery usage. The dark mode will make feel users comfortable to use messaging application at night time.

According to WABetaInfo, the dark mode is being developed and there is no official date has been announced as of now.

Taking to the microblogging site, WABetaInfo wrote: “It’s still under development and there is no news now.” WhatsApp has not officially said anything on whether the dark mode is being developed for the users.

WhatsApp is adding several new features to what is arguably the very popular instant messaging app for smartphones and is still constantly making efforts to improve the chat experience for its millions of users.

According to reports, Whatsapp now working on the feature of accessing the videos directly from the notifications. With this feature, users will not need to open an app to view the videos on the Whatsapp app and they will be able to play videos directly from the notifications. Currently, notifications only come up on the screen with the name of the person and a short preview of the top of their message.
