Ram Mandir issue is ‘Jumla’ like Modi’s Rs 15 lakh promise: Uddhav Thackeray

Ram Mandir issue is 'Jumla' like Modi's Rs 15 lakh promise: Uddhav Thackeray. He took a jibe at Bharatiya Janata Party demanding Ram Mandir construction.

At a time when Ram Mandir is being relentlessly highlighted by saffron party, Shiv Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray has admitted that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has deliberately raised Ram Mandir issue ahead of 2019  Lok Sabha elections.

Ahead of his Ayodhya visit, addressing a public gathering in Mumbai, Thackeray compared Ram Mandir issue to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s promise of delivering Rs 15 lakh in everyone’s account. He called Ram Mandir issue a Jumla.

It is to be noted that, Uddhav Thackeray is likely to address a rally in Ayodhya on November 25. There were several political leaders who were asking him, Why did you talk about the Ram Lord ahead of elections?

A news agency ANI quoted him as saying, “Just like Rs 15 lakh in everyone’s account, is Ram Mandir also a jumla? When we’re taking up this issue, we aim to ensure that Ram Mandir is actually built. This issue comes up only during the elections & once elections are over it is forgotten.”

“Everyone should be together to build Ram Temple. I want every Hindu to come together for the construction of Ram Temple. I will not answer the VHP right now. I will not go out of the boundaries here,” said the Shiv Sena chief.

Adding on he said, “I will go to Ayodhya as Balasaheb’s son and Shiv Sainik. Either you build Ram Temple or we will build. Don’t underestimate Hindus. People will make you realise in coming days if you don’t build Ram Mandir.”

Notably, Uddhav Thackeray will be the first member of the Thackeray family who will be visiting the disputed land Ayodhya.
