Tom Cruise unveils poster of Top Gun: Maverick, trailer to be out today

Superstar Tom Cruise is all set to be back on the big screen with the long-awaited sequel to 1986’s action film Top Gun. The Hollywood star took to social media and shared a new poster of the film. He also revealed that the much-awaited trailer of the action flick will be out today.

In the new poster, we can see Tom Cruise aka Pete “Maverick” Mitchell in the Air Force action drama, is pensively standing by a classic aircraft watching a pair of fighter jets ascend into the sky.

The story of Top Gun is set in a world of drone technology. Tom Cruise as Maverick is now a flight instructor at the Topgun, the Navy’s Fighter Weapons School at Naval Air Station Miramar. He takes Bradley Bradshaw the son of Maverick’s late partner Nick “Goose” Bradshaw, under his wing.

The action-packed movie is directed by Joseph Kosinski. It also features Val Kilmer, Jon Hamm (Good Omens, Mad Men), Jennifer Connelly (A Beautiful Mind, Alita: Battle Angel), Ed Harris (Westworld, Apollo 13), and Miles Teller (Fantastic Four, Only the Brave).

The trailer of the movie will be out today.

Top Gun: Maverick is set to release on June 26, 2020.
