83 First Poster: Ranveer Singh and his devil’s look fierce

The makers of ’83’ have released the first look of all the characters today in a grand event held in Chennai. The Megastars of South cinema, Kamal Haasan and Akkineni Nagarjuna, have collaborated with ’83’s director Kabir Khan to present the Tamil and Telugu versions of the film. The entire cast of ‘83 was present at the event in Chennai and has revealed the first look of the film.

The poster starts with each individual character’s poster merging into a group picture with 83 written in front.

On occasion of the poster launch, producer Sajid Nadiadwala opened up about how he feels about 83 and shared, “It is a special moment for all of us as e we unveil the first look of 83! Ranveer, Kabir & the whole 83 team is ready to take India on a nostalgic ride. A story of victory, a story that India is proud of & we can’t wait for the world to witness this magic once again.”

‘83 is based on India’s historical 1983 Cricket World Cup win and while Ranveer Singh will essay the role of former Indian cricket captain Kapil Dev, Deepika Padukone plays his wife, Romi Bhatia. It also features Tahir Raj Bhasin as Sunil Gavaskar, Jiiva as K. Srikkanth, Saqib Saleem as Mohinder Amarnath, Jatin Sarna as Yashpal Sharma, Chirag Patil as Sandeep Patil, Dinker Sharma as Kirti Azad and Nishant Dahiya as Roger Binny, Harrdy Sandhu as Madan Lal, Sahil Khattar as Syed Kirmani, Ammy Virk as Balwinder Singh Sandhu and Addinath M Kothare as Dilip Vengsarkar, Dhairya Karwa as Ravi Shashtri and R Badree as Sunil Valson along with Pankaj Tripathi as PR Man Singh.

Helmed by Kabir Khan, 83 is touted to be the biggest sports film of all time, the movie is being co-produced by Madhu Mantena, Sajid Nadiadwala and Reliance Entertainment. The film is all slated to hit the screens on 10th April 2020.
