Bollywood choreographer, Saroj Khan breathed her last at the age of 71 on Friday i.e July 3. The veteran dancer was hospitalised few weeks ago after complaining of having breathing issues. She is touted as the ‘mother of dance’ in India and she has some of the iconic songs to her credit. She had choreographed songs such as ‘Dola Re Dola’ To ‘Ek Do Tin’ and many more. Saroj Khan Choreographed These Iconic Bollywood Songs

Dola Re Dola

The beautiful dance number, ‘Dola Re Dola’ features Madhuri Dixit and Aishwarya Rai. The song is from the movie-‘Devdas’ of 2002, which was helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The iconic song was choreographed by Saroj Khan and it went on become one of the chartbusters in Bollywood.

Ek Do Tin

Who doesn’t know this song, ‘Ek Do Tin’? The song is from the movie ‘Tezaab’, it featured Amitabh Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit. The song was beautifuly sung by Alka Yagnik and choreographed by Saroj Khan. After this song went on to become the chartbuster, Madhuri became one of the top actress in the industry at that time. The film was helmed by N. Chandra and it was received well at the box-office.

Chane Ke Khet Mein

The dance number, Chane Ke Khet Mein featured Shah Rukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit and it is from the film, ‘Ajaam’. The film was helmed by Rahul Rawail and the song was choreographed by Saroj Khan.

Dhak Dhak

This beautiful song gave a new identity to Madhuri Dixit, after the success of the film and the song, the actress was hailed as the ‘Dhak Dhak’ girl of Bollywood. The song is from the movie ‘Beta’, which also featured Anil Kapoor. The song was choreographed by Saroj Khan and its one the most famous songs from Bollywood.

Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai

This popular song, ‘Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai’ is from the movie ‘Khal Nayak’, which features Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt in the key roles. The film was the second highest grossing Hindi film of 1993 and this song was choreographed by Saroj Khan.

Tamma Tamma

Although, there are quite a few remix versions of this song. ‘Tamma Tamma’ original remains forever fresh in the minds of movie buffs. The song is from the movie, ‘Thanedaar’ and it featured Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt in the key roles. The film was helmed by Raj N Sippy and the song was choreographed by Saroj Khan.
