‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ : Alia Bhatt Resumes Shooting In The Wee Hours ?

Alia Bhatt’s starrer ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ is hailed as one of the biggest films of Bollywood, as it is being helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The films shooting were stalled owning to the pandemic Coronavirus lockdown, however, the makers are said to now have resumed the shootings from their Mumbai sets. According to the latest reports, the actress has resumed her shootings from wee hours.

Apparently, the shooting sets of ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ is currently in Mumbai’s Kamathipura and the makers are said to have started their shoots from the portion of sets which remained unspoiled due to the heavy monsoon. The cast and crew have apparently went on the sets in evening and they filmed till early morning. While talking about the film, a source close to Pinkvilla informed them, “To maintain continuity, Sanjay sir picked up the shoot exactly from where he had left it. Since October 1, Alia and the team have been reporting to the set by 7 pm, and the stint goes on till the wee hours of the morning. Although a part of the grand set had been pulled down ahead of the monsoons, the portion resembling Kamathipura had been left untouched. So, the director has been able to shoot without any hiccup.”

Considering the pandemic outspread, the makers have reportedly used only 50 crew members on the sets to film the new scenes. The source also further informs the portal that the television actor, Shantanu Maheshwari had already filmed his song before the lockdown. The makers are yet to shoot few more tracks for the film.

Alia Bhatt was last seen sharing the screen space with Aditya Roy Kapur in Mahesh Bhatt’s directorial, ‘Sadak 2’. The film also starred Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt. It was released on OTT platform.
