‘Bigg Boss 7’ fame Ajaz Khan arrested by NCB in drugs case

‘Bigg Boss 7’ contestant Ajaz Khan has been arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in the drugs case on Wednesday. The actor was interrogated for 8 hours before his arrest. He was detained for having connections with drug peddler Shadab Batata, who was also arrested by NCB last Thursday.

The NCB team has also conducted searches at Andheri and Lokhandwala areas along with Khan in connection with the case. Later, he was taken into custody yesterday from the Mumbai airport upon his arrival from Rajasthan. A report in NDTV said that they have found alprazolam tablets from his home during their raid at his residence.

According to a report in Times Now, the actor will be produced in court today wherein the Narcotics Control Bureau will ask for a remand. The agency also wants to further interrogate Ajaz and track down the supply chain of drugs.

While speaking to media persons outside the NCB office in South Mumbai, The ‘Rakta Charitra’ actor said that he was not detained but himself came to meet the officers regarding the drugs case.

Last year, in April a case was registered against Ajaz for indulging in acts of defamation, hate speech, and violation of prohibitory orders later was granted bail by Bandra Metropolitan Magistrate court on a surety of Rs 1 lakh.
