Indian television producer Ekta Kapoor shared the teaser of her upcoming digital project titled ‘A Married Woman’. This web series is based on the same-sex relationship in the times of Babri Masjid demolition. The web series A Married Woman stars television actor Ridhi Dogra and American musician Monica Dogra.

Ekta Kapoor took to her social media and shared the teaser and wrote, “We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience”.-Pierre Teilhard de Chardin… #AMarriedWoman, a love story based on Manju Kapur’s famous book, ek aisi kahani that began during the times of political unrest in the country. The story of two beautiful souls who rose beyond religious, sexual and societial boundaries to find each other. An unconventional love saga portrayed by @iridhidogra & @monicadogra. The teaser of A Married Woman begins with Ridhi’s voiceover followed by Gulzar’s recital of his poem ‘Aaj Phir Chaand Ki.’  It describes how the Supreme Court verdict on Ayodhya on November 9, 2019, helped set a 27-year-old scar.

‘A Married Woman’ is a story of two women whose lives and marriages are in complete contradiction to each other and yet when their ways cross, their world grows drastically.

It is a story of Astha, a middle-class woman from Delhi, who is a teacher by profession and a painter by passion. She is the ideal daughter, mother, and wife whose life choices are always taken by others until she meets Peeplika, an unusual artist. The series is based on Manju Kapur’s book ‘Married Women.’

The makers are yet to announce the release date. It will streaming on Alt Balaji and Zee5.
