Bell Bottom: Akshay Kumar to romance this ‘War’ actress

Akshay Kumar has a full kitty this year too. The Khiladi Kumar who ruled the box-office in 2019 is all set to do the same this year too. He has Rohit Shetty’s cop drama Sooryavanshi in his kitty. Next is Laxxmi Bomb, Prithviraaj and spy thriller Bell Bottom. The actor is all set for some fresh pairing in his next films. Akshay Kumar has been choosing some fresh faces for his upcoming projects.

As per latest rumours he is all set to romance the actress from Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff starrer ‘War’ in espionage thriller ‘Bell Bottom’.

As revealed by a source to Mumbai Mirror, “The script demanded a fresh pairing, Vaani was signed on a week ago and is excited for the shoot with Akshay. It’s not the usual female lead, a few romantic scenes and some songs. She plays Akshay’s wife and is integral to the narrative.”

The source further added, “Look tests will take place closer to the shoot. Recce will start once the travel restrictions following the coronavirus outbreak are relaxed. The team is presently working towards recreating the 80’s decade with set designers and a visual effects team.”

The story of Bell Bottom is inspired by true events and is written by Aseem Arora and Pervez Shaikhand. It is touted to be a very high-end espionage thriller. Akshay Kumar will be portraying a never seen before avatar in the movie.

‘Bell Bottom’ is being directed by Ranjit M Tewari and is slated to release on April 2, 2021.
