Ali Abbas Zafar — who started his acting career in Bollywood with rom-com — is all set to make his production debut with the same genre too. Earlier there were reports making of social media that Ali Abbas Zafar is all set to produce a love story which revolves around Mumbai and he is scouting for the leading actress. Ali was looking for a talented and young A-lister alongside Ishaan Khattar.
According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the makers have roped in Ananya Panday opposite Ishaan Khattar for yet untitled love story. A source told the leading tabloid, “Since the Maximum City-centric film is a fresh take on the romantic genre and revolves around young people, Ali was keen to cast actors who are a big draw with youngsters. Both Ishaan and Ananya have impressed with their first films but have not worked together so it’s a new Jodi as well.”
Ishaan Khattar who made his acting debut in Bollywood with Majid Majidi’s Beyond The Clouds was last seen in Dhadak, an official adaptation of Marathi film Sairat. Ananya Pandey, who is merely a movie old in Bollywood has bagged several movies. The beautiful actress is currently shooting for her upcoming film Pati Patni Aur Woh, which also features Kartik Aaryan and Tara Sutaria in lead roles.
After Pati Patni Aur Woh, which is the modern-day adaptation of the same-titled film will move onto Ali’s debut production, which is likely to go on floors by the end of this year with a start-to-finish schedule.
Post Bharat, Ali is currently on a break in his hometown in Dehradun. The director is working on multiple scripts at present and likely to announce the third instalment of the Tiger franchise, featuring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, once he has finalised the script.
