Ankita Lokhande opens up why she kept SSR’s pic even after break-up and gave up big films

Pavitra Rishta fame, Ankita Lokhande is hailed as one of the most talented and dignified actress in the industry. Post the tragic death of Sushant Singh Rajput, she revealed to her fans that she was in a relationship with him. On social media she also shared a couple of pictures reminiscing the special moments. In a recent conversation she opens up why she wanted to keep a picture of SSR even after their break-up. She also spills the beans on how she gave up on big films for few strong reasons.

In her recent conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Ankita Lokhande went on to reveal how few people pointed out to her that she was keeping Sushant Singh Rajput’s picture even after her break-up. Revealing her response to one of her friend, she said, “Give me time, yaar. I need my time. I am not somebody… Main 2.5 saal tak unke saath rahi hoon (I have lived with him for two-and-a-half years). I have lived my life with those pictures. I am not somebody who will run away from the situation. I was getting up and facing that thing every day so that agar Sushant kabhi mere saamne aaye toh (if Sushant ever comes in front of me) I face him strongly. That was my thought process.”

Ankita also further recalled that there were days when she would spend juggling in her mind and thinking about how her life turned out. And then finally she decided to stand strong when she realised that she wanted to remove the picture so she could welcome someone else. She also expresses her happiness for meeting Vicky Jain(her current boyfriend) and she says that she is in a very happy space with him.

While talking about losing big films, Ankita said that she met Shah Rukh Khan in Macau with Sushant and that’s when the superstar promised her to offer a best role. She reveals that she did not want to take that film because she wanted to support SSR’s career. She revealed that her ex-boyfriend chose his career over their relationship, which made her realize the importance of her individual identity. The actress also opened up that she had got calls from Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Varun Dhawan for Bajirao Masthani and Badlapur respectively, but wanted to get married.
