Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) took no time to issue an alert to all the airports, government buildings and other prominent places in order to tighten the security across the state. Today during 5.00 pm the fire departments have apparently received the call because the Beating Retreat ceremony was happening at the Rajpath, which is just few kilometres away from the blast which took place on Kalam road.

To investigate the blast case, apparently senior officials from the Intelligence Bureau, including Delhi Police officials from the Special Cell and the Crime Branch have arrived at the location. A team of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) is also on the way to probe the blast.
