Arjun Rampal’s mother Gwen passes away; celebs pay last respects: view pics

Actor Arjun Rampal’s mother breathed her last after fighting a long battle against cancer. Many celebrities from the film fraternity paid their last respects to Gwen Rampal at her funeral in Mumbai late on Sunday evening.

The actor bid adieu to the mortal remains of his mother in Worli with family and close friends by his side. Among those present was his co-star from Paltan, Harshwardhan Rane, who arrived with his rumoured girlfriend actress Kim Sharma to the funeral.

Arjun’s ex-wife Mehr Jessia was also present along with their daughters Mahikaa and Myra. While his rumoured girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades, Rock On director Abhishek Kapoor and his wife Pragya Yadav were also present to give their last rites to Gwen. Here are few pictures from the funeral:

Just months ago Gwen had won her four-year battle with breast cancer. Arjun had even shared a video narrating what his mother had to go a through. “Cancer is becoming more and more epidemic these days. My mother underwent a treatment for it and was cured. But 10 months later, cancer metastasized into her lungs and then with the help of my friend, we went to Champali Maud Foundation research center in Lisbon,” he was quoted as saying by Bollywood Life.

The video ended on an emotional note with his mother speaking about her tough battle and experience. She also said that she is now all hale and hearty.
