Filmmakers are on a spree of announcing the release dates of the film. With many Bollywood, Hollywood, and South movies in the pipeline, the coming days will see some films clashing at the box office.

Here’s a list of films that will clash at the box-office:

  • Sooryavanshi, and Eternals

‘Sooryavanshi’ is directed by Rohit Shetty. The fourth installment of Shetty’s Cop Universe stars Akshay Kumar as Anti-Terrorism Squad chief DCP Veer Sooryavanshi opposite Katrina Kaif. Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh in extended cameo appearances reprise their roles of ‘Singham’ and ‘Simmba’ from the franchise’s previous films. It is scheduled to theatrically release on 22 October 2021.

‘Eternals’ is an American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics race of the same name. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It stars an ensemble cast including Gemma Chan, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Lia McHugh, Brian Tyree Henry, Lauren Ridloff, Barry Keoghan, Don Lee, Harish Patel, Kit Harington, Salma Hayek, and Angelina Jolie. It is scheduled to be released in the United States on November 5, 2021, as part of Phase Four of the MCU.

  • 83, The Matrix: Resurrections and Pushpa

’83’ is directed by Kabir Khan, the film stars Ranveer Singh as cricketer Kapil Dev, along with Padukone, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jiiva, Saqib Saleem, Harrdy Sandhu, Ammy Virk, Pankaj Tripathi, Boman Irani, Nishant Dahiya, Sahil Khattar, and Amrita Puri. The film is set to arrive in theatres this Christmas.

‘The Matrix Resurrections’ is directed by Lana Wachowski. It is the sequel to The Matrix Revolutions (2003) and serves as the fourth installment in The Matrix film series overall. Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, and Jada Pinkett Smith reprise their roles from previous films in the series, where they are joined by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jessica Henwick, Jonathan Groff, Neil Patrick Harris, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Christina Ricci. It will release on December 22, 2021.

‘Pushpa’ is a Telugu film directed by Sukumar, the film stars Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil, and Rashmika Mandanna. The first of two cinematic parts, the plot is based on the red sanders smuggling in the Seshachalam Hills of the Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh. The first part of the film is scheduled to release on 25 December 2021.

  • Valimai, Sarkaru Vaari Paata and Radhe Shyam

‘Valimai’ is a Tamil-language action thriller film written and directed by H. Vinoth, and produced by Zee Studios and Boney Kapoor under Bayview Projects LLP. The film stars Ajith Kumar, Huma Qureshi, and Kartikeya Gummakonda. The film will release in theatres on Pongal 2022.

‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata’ is a Telugu-language action comedy film written and directed by Parasuram. The film stars Mahesh Babu and Keerthy Suresh. It is scheduled to be released on 13 January 2022 coinciding with Sankranthi.

‘Radhe Shyam’ is directed by Radha Krishna Kumar, starring Prabhas and Pooja Hegde. The film is shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi languages. The film is now scheduled to release on 14 January 2022, coinciding with the festival of Sankranthi.

  • Ek Villain Returns and Laal Singh Chaddha

‘Ek Villain Returns’ is directed by Mohit Suri. It is a spiritual sequel to Suri’s 2014 film ‘Ek Villain’ although its storyline is completely different AND stars John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, Disha Patani, and Tara Sutaria in lead roles. The movie is scheduled for worldwide cinema release on 11 February 2022.

‘Laal Singh Chadha’ is directed by Advait Chandan. It is an adaptation of the 1994 American film Forrest Gump which itself based on Winston Groom’s 1986 novel of the same name, the film stars Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor, and Naga Chaitanya. It is slated for cinema release on 11 February 2022.

  • The Batman and Bachchan Pandey

‘The Batman’ is an American superhero film based on DC Comics featuring the character Batman. It is intended to be a reboot of the Batman film franchise and stars Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne / Batman, alongside Zoë Kravitz, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Peter Sarsgaard, Barry Keoghan, Jayme Lawson, Andy Serkis, and Colin Farrell. It is scheduled for release on March 4, 2022.

‘Bachchan Pandey’ is directed by Farhad Samji. It stars Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon, and Jacqueline Fernandez in lead roles.  The film will theatrically release on 4 March 2022.

  • KGF-Chapter 2 and Bhediya

‘KGF Chapter 2’ is a Kannada-language period drama action film written and directed by Prashanth Neel. The second installment of the two-part series is a sequel to the 2018 film K.G.F: Chapter 1. The film stars Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Srinidhi Shetty, Raveena Tandon, and Prakash Raj. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on 14 April 2022 in Kannada along with the dubbed versions of Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam languages.

‘Bhediya’ is a comedy horror film directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan. It stars Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon. The film is the third installment in Dinesh Vijan’s horror-comedy universe. The film will release theatrically worldwide on 14 April 2022.

  • MayDay and Heropanti 2

‘MayDay’ is a drama thriller film directed and produced by Ajay Devgn. The film stars Devgn, Al-Mamun Al Siyam, Amitabh Bachchan and Rakul Preet Singh. It is scheduled to be theatrically released on 29 April 2022.

‘Heropanti 2’ stars Tiger Shroff and Tara Sutaria. It is the sequel of Tiger and Kriti Sanon’s 2014 debut film. The movie is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson whereas Ahmed Khan will serve as the director. It will hit the theatres on April 29 next year.

  • Adipurush and Raksha Bandhan

‘Adipurush’ is a mythological film based on the Hindu epic Ramayana. The film is directed by Om Raut and produced by T-Series Films and Retrophiles. The film also stars Kriti Sanon as Sita, while Sunny Singh will be seen as Laxman and Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh.

‘Raksha Bandhan’ will release on August 11, 2022. The film is presented by Aanand and Akshay Kumar’s sister, Alka Bhatia.  It is backed by Colour Yellow Production in association with Cape of Good Films. The film is based on the special bond between a brother and a sister.
