Shivaji Satam — who played the role of ACP Pradyuman in CID — has spoken up about his feeling as the iconic TV show will soon air on TV. Shivaji Satam seems to be on a cloud nine as people will get to see and experience the iconic TV show CID again.

Speaking to the Times of India, Shivaji Satam, “Our stories were so engaging for people.” It has been one and a half year since CID went off-air and but people still recognise him as ACP Pradyuman wherever he goes.

“It was such a good experience for us as actors because we became a large family. The show saw so many actors come and go. It will be fun to relive all of that,” Satam said.

Notably, CID was one of the longest-running Indian TV shows with 1,547 episodes when it aired its last episode on October 27, 2018. The popular show was based on Mumbai’s Crime Investigation Department.

CID is not the only TV show which is coming back on TV, prior to this, epic TV shows Ramayan and Mahabharat were relaunched on Doordarshan channel, and they have received overwhelming reception within a week’s time.

According to reports, in merely four shows, Ramayan garnered almost 170 million views. Apart from CID, Hindi horror-drama Aahat and other daily soap Yeh Unn Dino Ki Baat Hai are back on Sony TV.

CID will air from Monday to Friday at 10:00 am on Sony TV.
