Criminal Case Filed Against Kangana Ranaut For Her Controversial Tweet Post On Farm Bill: Reports 

Bollywood actress, Kangana Ranaut is known for making headlines for her bold statements on several social issues and other matters. Of late she has been creating buzz for her loggerheads with Mumbai Police and Shiv Sena. The actress is quite active on her social media handles and she never fails to express her opinions fearlessly. According to the latest reports, her controversial tweet post on farm bill has attracted a criminal case against her.

As per a report by Mirror Now, the ‘Manikarnika’ actress has been booked under Sections 44,108,153, 153A and 504 of the Indian Penal Code. The case has been lodged at the Karnataka’s Tumkur JMFC Court. The complainant named, Ramesh Naik(former) has apparently filed the criminal case after her tweet post caused him pain. He has filed the complaint with the Directorate General of Police, Karnataka.

Earlier this week, Kangana Ranaut had shared a tweet post slamming the people who are against the new Farm Bill. “Prime Minister, if anyone’s sleeping, they can be woken up, if someone doesn’t understand, they can be explained, but what can be done when someone is acting to be asleep or doesn’t want to understand? These are the same terrorists. Not one citizenship was lost due to CAA, but they ended up spilling so much blood,” read one of her tweet post in Hindi.

In another post she had shared, “People who spread misinformation and rumours about CAA that caused riots are the same people who are now spreading misinformation about Farmers bill and causing terror in the nation, they are terrorists. You very well know what I said but simply like to spread misinformation.”

The actresses tweet posts ended up hurting a section of society, due her comparison between the protesting farmers, the opposition leaders, the terrorists and the anti-CAA protestors. The actress is yet to react on the criminal case.
