Late vetaran actor Sridevi’s daughter, Janhvi Kapoor made the most fitting debut with her one film old co-star, Ishan Khattar in the movie Dhadak, produced by Karan Johar and directed by Shashank Kaitain reputed for his movies Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014) and Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017).

After getting the mush desired launch, Janhvi and Ishan’s movie Dhadak also made a good start at the box office too. The first day collection of the movie was Rs 8.71 cr, which is higher than the opening day amount collected by ‘Student of the year (Rs 7.52 cr, 2012),’ again produced by the Dharma Productions.
Dhadak has the eigth best opening this year, beating established actors’ movies like Parmanu and Razi.
Though the movie is doing good in states like Bihar, Rajasthan, Gujarat and UP, but the numbers has to appreciate in cities like Delhi, Punjab and down South to claim it as a hit. The collectios also has to improve in other metros.
Dhadak is inspired from a popular hit Marathi movie, Sairat which was released in 2016.
