‘Friends: The Reunion’ to premiere in India on ZEE 5

Here’s a piece of good news for all the people in India! With just a few days for the telecast, On Sunday, ZEE 5 announced that Friends: The Reunion will see its exclusive premiere on the platform. Yes, you read that right!

Manish Kalra, Chief Business Officer, ZEE5 India said in a statement, “We are extremely excited to bring ‘FRIENDS: THE REUNION’ exclusively on ZEE5 for the Indian market. ‘FRIENDS’ is amongst the world’s most watched and loved sitcoms and it is a great opportunity for us to present their reunion, something that the world has been talking about, on ZEE5 for ‘FRIENDS’ fans in India. ZEE5 is the home of entertainment for millions and fans across regions and languages can enjoy ‘FRIENDS: THE REUNION’ from the safety of their home.”

The episode is set to premiere on May 27, 2021, on HBO Max.

It will feature all six of the original cast members Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, and Matthew Perry.

Along with the original cast, many other guest celebrities will also be joining them Christina Pickles (Ross and Monica’s mother Judy), Elliott Gould (Ross and Monica’s father- Jack), Larry Hankin (Mr. Heckles), Tom Selleck (Richard), James Michael Tyler (Gunther), Maggie Wheeler (Janice), Reese Witherspoon (Rachel’s younger sister Jill), David Beckham, Justin Bieber, BTS, James Corden, Cindy Crawford, Cara Delevingne, Lady Gaga, Kit Harington, Mind Kaling, Thomas Lennon, Malala Yousafzai.

The reunion episode was filmed in Los Angeles, California at Stage 24, also known as the “The Friends Stage” at Warner Bros. Studios, Burbank, where Friends had been filmed since its second season.
