Henry Cavill in talks to return as Superman in future DC films

Henry Cavill is all set to don Superman’s cape once again. Past few months, Cavill’s future in the DCEU has been a cause of concern for fans. They were curious about Cavill’s future in DC films after Rober Pattison taking over as The Batman from Ben Affleck. They are now celebrating the return of Henry Cavill as Superman in the universe.

As reported by sources to Variety, Actor Henry Cavill is in negotiations to reprise the role of Superman/ Clark Kent in an upcoming DC Comics movie. The British star had first appeared as the superhero in 2013”s ‘Man of Steel’, and later reprised his role in ‘Superman V Batman’ and ‘Justice League’. All three films were directed by Zack Snyder.

The report further suggests that a Man of Steel sequel is not the works right now. Instead, Cavill will play a mentor of sorts for new superheroes entering the universe.

In a Men’s Health’s December cover story, Cavill had said, “The cape is still in the closet. It’s still mine. I’m not going to sit quietly in the dark as all the stuff is going on. I’ve not given up the role. There’s a lot of justice to be done for Superman. The status is: You’ll see.”

The future of Cavill’s Superman has not yet been fully decided. He could be seen in Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s ‘Black Adam’, ‘Aquaman 2’, and ‘The Batman’.

On the work front, Henry was seen in ‘Mission: Impossible — Fallout’ alongside Tom Cruise. He is currently starring in Netflix’s ‘The Witcher’ as the Geralt of Rivia.
