The horror-comedy still remains in the list of most watched films in India. The title track was one of the USP in making it a hit movie. The film was directed by Priyadarshan and the title music video was composed by Pritam, sung by Neeraj Shridhar and the lyrics were penned by Sameer. The movie was released in theaters on 12 October 2007.

His 2018 song for the film ‘Manto’ had attracted a negative attention, after netizens found out that it was copied from BTS member, RM’s song ‘Do You’. In ‘Mantoiyat’, Raftaar raps about social issues and raises many questions based on social norms. The concept of the song as well as music video seems to be copied from RM’s song. After receiving outrage on social media, the rapper even issued an official apology for the similarities between the two songs and stated that the music director was responsible for the content of the song, while singing was his part.

‘Pehli Nazar Mein’ is a hit song from the film, ‘Race’ of 2012. The film starred Akshaye Khanna, Bipasha Basu and Saif Ali in the key roles. It was crooned by Atif Aslam and again this song was also composed Pritam. Even though it was a copied version, it was one of the biggest hits in India. The lyrics were penned by Sameer, while Pritam composed the whole music.
