Jaan Kumar Sanu’s mother Rita Bhattacharya hits back at Rahul Vaidya for his ‘nepotism’ remark
Rita Bhattacharya REACTS to Rahul Vaidya's 'nepotism' remark for her son Jaan Kumar Sanu.
In the previous episode of Bigg Boss 14, during the nomination task, Rahul Vaidya nominated Jaan Kumar Sanu citing nepotism as the reason, which left the housemates in shock, many called him out for disrespecting a fellow artist. Rahul said, “I would like to nominate Jaan Kumar Sanu. I hate nepotism. Whoever has come on the show, they’ve come on the basis of their hard work. Jaan is on the show because he’s someone’s son. He doesn’t have any personality of his own,” to which, Jaan replied, “I am fortunate to be the son of Kumar Sanu.”
Now, Jaan’s mother Rita Bhattacharya reacted to Rahul’s ‘nepotism’ remark for his son. Speaking to SpotBoye, she said, “If Rahul feels that Jaan is in the show because of nepotism then how come they are both on the same platform right now? If according to Rahul there is a difference between the insider and outsider then how come he is on the same platform where my son is? Jaan’s father Kumar Sanu has sung almost 23000 songs till now so being his son he must have at least sang 23 songs in the industry with his father’s support. But aisa nahi hai kyunki Jaan ne jo kuch bhi achieve kiya hai apni badolat aya hai.”

She also said that her other two sons are a better singer than Rahul, “With due respect, I would like to say my other two sons are better singers than Rahul Vaidya, forget about Jaan. But they are not in public as they don’t want to.”
Further, she also stated how his father Kumar Sanu did not want him to go to the Bigg Boss house, but Jaan chose to go as he wanted to prove himself. She also said that no music director or composer has given Jaan a chance even though they know he is a good singer as they believe that their children have to make their own name.
