Kapil Dev Channels Inner Ranveer Singh In AD, Watch Video

Ranveer Singh is all set to play the role of cricketer Kapil Dev in his upcoming biographical sports film, ’83,’ which is slated for cinema release on 24 December 2021.

Directed by Kabir Khan and jointly produced by Khan, Vishnuvardhan Induri, Deepika Padukone and Sajid Nadiadwala. The film also stars Deepika Padukone, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jiiva, Amrita Puri, Saqib Saleem, Harrdy Sandhu, Ammy Virk, Pankaj Tripathi, Boman Irani, Nishant Dahiya and Sahil Khattar.

Ahead of its release, the audience has witnessed Kapil Dev channelling his inner Ranveer in a new advertisement for CRED, Bengaluru-based a credit card bill payment platform, leaving fans in splits.

The former India skipper shared the video on social media and captioned the post as: “Heads, I am fashionable. Tails, I am fashionable.”

In the ad, Jim Sarbh can be heard saying: “Every time you pay your credit cards bills on CRED, you earn CRED coins. Use them to claim exclusive rewards and cashback. Now that’s crazy as imagining Kapil Dev act like Ranveer.” In the video, Kapil Dev is seen wearing colourful clothes, similar to Ranveer’s fashion choice and doing odd stuff while playing cricket with old-timers.
