Karan Johar on Kuch Kuch Hota Hai 2: I will cast Ranbir, Alia and Janhvi

Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar reveals the possible cast of the remake of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai while hosting the radio show “Calling Karan Season 2” where one his fans asked him about the sequel of “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai” and the actors that he would choose for the movie.

Karan replied saying, “If I made ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai 2’, I would cast Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Janhvi Kapoor in it.”

The original Kuch Kuch Hota Hai starred Shahrukh Khan, Rani Mukherjee and Kajol and was a hit at the box offices and is still a favourite of many.

However, what’s interesting is Anand Ahuja’s suggestion for Karan Johar if he remakes Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.  Sonam Kapoor’s husband Anand Ahuja took to Instagram and posted a picture of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol from the film and told Karan Johar that he could reuse the clothes for the sequel. He furthur pointed out to ‘thin frame sunglasses’, ‘big logo jacket’, ‘dad jeans’, ‘bulky shoes’, ‘centre zip tracksuit’. In yet another story, he posted a picture from the film’s hit song  ‘Koi Mil Gaya’ and highlighted on ‘glitter dress’ worn by Rani Mukherjee, ‘Vintage t colour’, ‘fanny pack’ and the ‘light wash denim’ worn by Shah Rukh Khan and ‘dungaree’ worn by Kajol.

He also pointed out to Shahrukh Khan blue jacket which was worn by him during the film and said that the same jacket is available with a brand.

Republic TV quoted him saying, “I was 24 when I wrote that film. But I can’t write the same film now. When I see Kuch Kuch Hota Hai today or Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham I myself wonder, ‘Why did I write this, how did I write this, from where these thoughts came to my mind?”

On the work front, Karan is prepping for the sixth season of his talk show ‘Koffee with Karan’ which will premeire on October 21 and he has also announced his next directorial venture, ‘Takht’ starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Anil Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and Janhvi Kapoor.
