KL Rahul to undergo surgery after he diagnosed with acute appendicitis

Indian cricketer, KL Rahul was reportedly rushed to the hospital after he complained about suffering severe abdominal pains. He has been diagnosed with acute appendicitis and he will undergo a surgery

KL Rahul has been busy due to the IPL 2021 matches. On Sunday evening, the Punjab King’s skipper was rushed to the hospital after he complained about dealing with severe abdominal pain. He was at a hotel in Ahmedabad and it is said that he will undergo surgery in Mumbai for acute appendicitis. He has flown to Mumbai to begin his treatment.

Last night the IPL franchise took to its official Twitter handle and shared the news with fans. The read statement said, “KL Rahul complained of a severe abdomen pain last night and after not responding to medication, he was taken to the emergency room for further tests which revealed that he was diagnosed with acute appendicitis. It will be resolved surgically and for safety measures, he has been transferred to the hospital for the same.”

In KL Rahul’s absence, Mayank Agarwal has been named the new captain for the Kings’ which will play the upcoming match against the Delhi Capitals.

Talking about KL Rahul’s performances he is the tournament’s highest scorer so far with around331 runs in seven innings which he made at an average of 66.20 and strike rate of 136.21, including four half-centuries. He hit an unbeaten 91 against the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Kings’ previous match on Friday match. Mayank Agarwal on the other side scoring 161 runs in six innings at 26.83, with a strike rate of 127.77. Having Rahul’s absence in the team there might be uncertainty in its scores in the upcoming matches.
