Kriti Sanon Will Next Be Seen in Surrogacy Drama, Mamma Mia?
The actress will next be seen in Mamma Mia which will revolve around surrogacy
Kriti Sanon has been pretty successful with her latest film ‘Luka Chuppi’. The actress has been making great choices regarding the types of films she has been doing. Films like ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ and ‘Luka Chuppi’ are concept-driven films and have struck a chord with the audience.

She has several films lined up this year – Arjun Patiala, Housefull 4 and Panipat. We also hear that the actress has another project lined up for 2020 release. According to reports, Kriti Sanon is all set to team up with her Luka Chuppi director Laxman Utekar and producer Dinesh Vijan for a film regarding surrogacy, Mamma Mia. Currently, the film is in a scripting stage.
The actress has already given a verbal confirmation. She will supposedly be playing the role of the central protagonist and is the most challenging one.
“The film is in the process of writing. There is a Marathi film called ‘Mala Aai Vhhaychy’, which is on surrogacy and (Dinesh Vijan’s) Maddock Films has official rights of it. But we have just taken the core idea of it and have changed the entire story,” a source told The Quint.
“There are no similarities between the two stories, the backdrop, the characters are different, just the idea of surrogacy mother we have taken. The Marathi film was made years ago. Back then, the emotions were different and today the taste of the audience is changing. As makers, we have to fulfil their expectations,” the sources added.
According to sources, “Kriti has been approached for a concept-driven film by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films. She’s a usual favourite with the banner and now, they are repeating her yet again for another movie they are planning. It’s something completely different from what she has done in the past”.
Wait for the official confirmation tops the list. The actress was last seen on ‘Luka Chuppi’ opposite Kartik Aaryan. She will be next seen in Arjun Patiala, Housefull 4 and Panipat this year.
