In order to raise fund for people affected by Coronavirus Pandemic, a few celebrities namely Chris Martin, Lady Gaga, Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra and Elton John organised a relief concert “One World: Together at Home’.

The only reason behind organising the two-hour relief event was to raise money and spread awareness about the virus and encourage people to stay safe. According to reports, Lady Gaga’s COVID-19 relief concert “One World: Together at Home” has accumulated almost $128 million (979 crores) in the US.

The event had performances by influential personalities like Lady Gaga, Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney, Elton John, Lizzo, and Taylor Swift among others. This was not planned as a fundraiser but the April 18 show inspired people across America to donate, reported aceshowbiz.com.

The Poker Face hitmaker started the special with a performance of Charlie Chaplin’s Smile and closed the show with an all-star rendition of The Prayer featuring singers Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli.

The Global Citizen officials, who organised the relief event and convinced celebrities to come together for a novel cause, confirmed to have raised $127.9 million for COVID-19 aid.

“Thank you @ladygaga for helping @GlblCtzn create this historic global broadcasting event. To everyone around the world: Stay strong, stay safe, we will be together in person soon,” the message read.

The relief concert turned out a big success and videos of the musicians and actors talking about the adverse effects of COVID-19 have gone viral on the internet. But what caught everyone’s attention was a video clip of Lady Gaga cheering as Shah Rukh Khan’s segment in the campaign appeared.
