Late Actor Sushant Singh Rajput Becomes Yahoo’s Most Searched Person In 2020

Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely demise left millions of his fans heartbroken. The actor was found hanging at his Mumbai residence and the officials such as NCB, ED, CBI are currently investigating the case. While many believed that it was a suicide, a section of society claimed it to be a murder. The investigations lead the officials to burst a drug nexus case in B-town and his demise news become one of the most discussed topic of this year.

From the month of June, Sushant Singh Rajput’s name was in top trending topics on all across social media platforms. The search engine, Yahoo released its yearly most searched topic list. The list was released on Tuesday by the search engine for India. In Review (YIR) for India gives an idea of the year’s top newsmakers and events, based on anonymised daily search habits of users. While the late actor is at first position to have searched by netizens, his girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty is at third position and the most searched female celebrity from India. She was followed by Kangana, Deepika, Sunny, Priyanka, Katrina, singers Neha Kakkar and Kanika Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sara Ali Khan.

For the unversed, Rhea Chakraborty who was arrested by the NCB officials in drug nexus case had got the bail from Bombay High Court. The officials had grilled elite B-town celebs such as Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor and several others.
