Expressing his concern and condemning the gangrape, Chauhan was of the opinion that all the accused should be hanged to death and added that the case should be resolved through fast track. “The rape case that happened in Mandsaur has shocked everyone. We all want that people who did such heinous crime should be hanged to death. Human rights are for humans, not for the devils. This case should be resolved through fast track”, he said.

On the other hand, Pradesh Congress Committee chief Jyotiraditya Scindia alleged that police did not respond to the case immediately and took a lot of time to register an FIR, adding that the case be handed over to CBI. He said, “It took a lot of time to lodge an FIR in the rape case of a 8-year-old girl in Mandsaur. Even today the investigation is not going in the right direction. We demand a CBI inquiry in the case. Women in my state don’t feel safe.”

However, state police have assured that this case is their top-most priority ands they have constituted a SIT to probe the matter. Mandsaur CSP Rakesh Mohan Shukla said, “We are investigating the matter with top-most priority. A SIT has also been constituted. The second accused has also been sent to police remand. We are doing everything to get them the punishment they deserve.”

According to the case filed by police, the minor girl was waiting for her father after school on Tuesday and was lured by accused. They then gangraped and assaulted her too.
