New Komolika Aamna Sharif says she didn’t see Hina Khan on Kasautii Zindagii Kay
Aamna Sharif: I have not seen Hina Khan playing Komolika in Kasauti Zindagii Kay but heard that she was doing a commendable job
Aamna Sharif — who debuted in the TV industry with Ekta Kapoor’s show Kahiin to Hoga — is all set to reunite with Ekta Kapoor in her TV show Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2. Earlier, we reported that Aamna Shariff will essay Hina Khan’s role Komolika in Kasauti Zindagii Kay 2. However, Aamna revealed that she has not watched Hina Khan playing Komolika but said that he heard that Hina was doing a commendable job.

Speaking about the same, in an interview with The Times of India, Aamna Shariff said, “I haven’t seen the show and so, didn’t get a chance to see the way Hina portrayed it. But I have heard she was doing a commendable job.”
Notably, the show is an adaptation of early 2000’s daily soap, in which the lead role of Komolika was portrayed by Nach Baliye 9 contestant, Urvashi Dholakia. Urvashi’s role turned out as a game-changer and made her one of the most famous villains in Hindi TV industry.
Talking about Urvashi’s role, Aamna told TOI, “Urvashi Dholakia had played the character many years ago in Kasautii Zindagii Kay in such a powerful way that Komolika became a cult figure.”
The beautiful actress is making her comeback on TV shows after a hiatus. Speaking about the same, she said, “The reason for the break was the need to reinvent my personal life. It would have been easy to stay in my comfort zone and come back with a love story, but that wouldn’t have satiated me as an actor. It’s always a different kind of rush to surprise your audience. So, when I was offered the role of Komolika, I instinctively knew that this is what will challenge me the most as an actor.”
