Oppo F9 to go on sale today for the first time: Here’s everything you need to know


Oppo F9 will be on sale for the first time in India, today. It was launched along with the Oppo F9 Pro, a week back. The smartphone Oppo F9 will be exclusively available on Flipkart from Saturday, unlike the mega event that Oppo F9 Pro witnessed, this announcement seems to be a muted affair. Apart from Flipkart, this can also be purchased from some offline partnered outlet too.

Oppo F9 is more affordable and budget-friendly than Oppo F9 Pro. Oppo F9 does not have the built in VOOC flash charge support. It comes with a 4GB RAM, 64GB inbuilt storage and a 16-megapixel front selfie sensor.

The Oppo F9  is priced Rs 19,990 on Flipkart and offline outlets in today’s sale. The smartphone Oppo F9 will be available in two colours — Mist Black and Stellar Purple.  If you’re willing to shell out a little more, than the Oppo F9 Pro will be the best, it is priced at Rs 23,990 in India and comes in 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage option.

In comparison, the Oppo F9 Pro is priced a little higher at Rs 23,990 and is partnered with Flipkart, Amazon India, Paytm Mall and a few more select offline stores.

Oppo F9 specifications, features

The Oppo F9 flaunts a 6.3-inch FHD+ display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and waterdrop notch at the top. Under the hood is a MediaTek Helio P60 octa-core SoC paired with Mali-G72 GPU. In the memory department, the F9 gets 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. 

Oppo F 9 Camera: 

If you are addicted to clicking photos and desire to get the best camera phone than Oppo F9 is equipped with a dual camera set up at the back that comprises of a 16-megapixel primary sensor and 2-megapixel secondary sensor. For selfies and video calling, there’s a 16-megapixel snapper up front with a dedicated Beauty mode.

Oppo F9 has 3,500mAh battery and for security, it has a fingerprint sensor at the back. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. On the software front, the device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo-based Colour OS 5.2.
