Recently, former President Pranab Mukherjee underwent successful brain surgery at the Army’s Research and Referral (R&R) hospital, however, earlier, it was reported that were no improvement and his health condition has worsened, now, his daughter Sharmistha has shared an update on his health.

On Friday, Sharmistha Mukherjee took to her Twitter handle and wrote, “Without getting into medical jargons, whatever I could understand from last two days is that though my dads’ condition continues remain very critical, it hasn’t worsened. There’s little improvement in his eyes’ reaction to light.

In another tweet, Sharmistha express gratitude and requested everyone to continue with prayers, “I strongly believe in collective energy of prayers. Deepest gratitude to all for standing by us in these difficult times. Would request to continue with your prayers. May God bless us all

The Army hospital released a statement, that read as: “The condition of former President Pranab Mukherjee remains unchanged this morning. He is under intensive care and continues to be on ventilatory support. His vital parameters are presently stable.”

On Thursday, there were rumours doing rounds on various social media platforms about Pranab Mukherjee’s death. Soon after, Pranab’s children denied such rumours, Abhijit Mukherjee confirmed that his father is alive and ‘haemodynamically stable,’ whereas, Sharmistha stated that the rumours about her father are false and requested the media not to call her.
