This was Delhi’s first loss at home in five years in the history of the competition. The result justified the dominance Punjab had on the game right from the first day itself. This thorough win thus hands them a total of seven points.

Delhi could only muster 179 runs in their second innings courtesy efforts from Pulkit Narang (31) and Pulkit Sood (25). Requiring just five runs for the win, they scored it easily within 2.1 overs with openers Jiwanjot Singh and Abhishek Sharma doing the honours.
