BJP neta Ravinder Raina advises woman of sexual favours for party post!

In a major embarrassment to the Bharatiya Janta Party, a woman accused Jammu and Kashmir party president Ravinder Raina of advising her to grant sexual favours to VIPs if she had to rise up the organisation ladder. This incident allegedly took place at a function to pay tribute to Atal Bihari Vajpayee, where the woman approached the leader in Jammu on Thursday.

Footages show that the woman had earlier served as an executive member of the BJP’s Mahila Morcha. Alleging the leader of advising her inappropriate things to do, she told the media, “I was given an offer that If I want to progress (in the party), do (this)…. I told them that I am from a good family, will never do it nor allow others do it and will raise my voice against it. I asked them whether they felt any shame asking me to do it.”

She said, as quoted by The Telegraph, that she has complained about it in the party, “But they told me these are small issues.” She also added that several woman party leaders had to quit the party after they refused to support such favours. She said, as quoted by the daily, ” This is what is happening with women (in the party). Those who comply move up the ladder.”

Refusing the allegations and terming them as ‘baseless charges’, BJP spokesperson Altaf Thakur said that the woman was longer part of the executive team. He also added that the woman is making such accusations after her plea to accommodate her husband in the party went unanswered. However, there was no reply from Ravinder Raina on this issue.
