Veteran Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor passed away on April 30 in Mumbai after a two year battle with leukemia. The actor’s untimely death left his family and millions of fans in despair. Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh’s daughter Riddhima couldn’t make it to the funeral as she was in Delhi. She came by road due to the COVID-19 lockdown and attended the last rites held at Banganga in Mumbai over the weekend.

Riddhima Kapoor Sahni has been actively sharing photos with her father on social media and remember the good moments passed with him. Now she has shared a picture that has her mother Neetu and brother Ranbir Kapoor. She captioned it, “Got your back Ma #yourpillars.”

Rishi Kapoor had undergone treatment in New York for many months and Neetu stood by his side throughout. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt were seen visiting them there. On returning to India Rishiji made many public appearances, however, his health deteriorated and he was admitted at Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai, where he also breathed his last.

The versatile actor was cremated at Chandanwadi in Mumbai. Courtesy the lockdown, his last ceremony was attended by close friends and family. Abhishek Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Randhir Kapoor, Babita Kapoor, Armaan Jain, Aadar Jain, and Alia Bhatt, among others.

His ashes were immersed in the Banganga Tank in Mumbai by the family.
