Hollywood Actor Robert Redford’s Son James Passes Away at 58

Hollywood’s legendary actor Robert Redford’s son James Redford passed away at 58. His wife Kyle confirmed that he died on Friday at his home in Marin County, California due to cancer. James had been battling bile-duct cancer since November last year.

James Redford had a history of liver problems stemming from rare auto-immune disease primary sclerosing cholangitis. He had even undergone two transplants in the 1990s. Two years ago he was told the disease had returned. He had decided to go for a third transplant. While having a scan ahead of the transplant, doctors discovered cancer.

Robert Redford’s publicist, Cindi Berger, said in a statement Monday that the 84-year-old father is mourning with his family during this “difficult time.”

Wife Kyle paid tribute to her husband, saying she is ‘heartbroken’, praising his ‘beautiful, impactful life’ and adding that ‘he will be missed’.

‘As his wife of 32 yrs, I’m most grateful for the two spectacular children we raised. I don’t know what we would’ve done w/o them over the past 2yrs,’ she added.
