Sacred Games Season 2: Ranvir Shorey and Kalki Koechlin join the Netflix crime thriller

Finally, it is here, yes the makers of most popular crime thriller ‘Sacred Games‘ have unveiled the teaser of the second season captioning it as ‘Iss Khel Ka Asli Baap Kaun?’. The new season will have some new addition and they are none other than Kalki Koechlin and Ranvir Shorey.

The cat-and-mouse, gritty chase is back with Sartaj Singh(Saif Ali Khan) and Ganesh Gaitonde(Nawazuddin Siddiqui) along with Pankaj Tripathi as Guruji. He is expected to play a vital role in the new season, which will be premiered sometime this year.

Kalki Koechlin will be seen depicting the role of Batya whereas Ranvir Shorey will be seen as Shahid Khan. The new season will pick up from the last season as Sartaj (Saif Ali Khan) pursues his relentless quest to save the city, while Gaitonde (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) tries to retain his position as the legendary kingpin of Mumbai. The intriguing Guruji (Pankaj Tripathi) plays a pivotal role. The new season promises a new trail of friendship, betrayal, crime, passion, and a thrilling chase through Mumbai’s underbelly with these new characters.

The new season will reportedly also star Sobhita Dhulipala. The second edition has been directed by Anurag Kashyap and Neeraj Ghaywan (Masaan, 2015). Ghaywan has replaced Vikramaditya Motwane, who is continuing as the showrunner.

‘Sacred Games’, is based on Vikram Chandra’s 2006 novel of the same name, It will premiere later this year.
