Considering the fact that it received critics of not showcasing several parts of Sanjay dutt’s life like his three marriages, his first daughter Trishala and the kind of bond he shared with his sisters among various other incidents apart from being victimized. Still, the film has managed to stay in cinemas beating new released films.
Ranbir’s father Rishi Kapoor also tried to safeguard makers of the film and Ranbir himself in an interview by Huffington Post, stating that two hours is too little time to cover the whole spectrum of anybody’s life.
On the other hand, the makers of the movie received a legal notice from gangster Abu Salem for showcasing wrong information against him. In the notice his lawyer mentioned the demand stating removal of the scenes which allegedly caused defamation to the gangster.
At the end, the film has come long way and have given hundred percent in fighting against all odds it faced before and after the release.
